One Shot: Editorial – Yankee! Heartbreaker Revived
Yesterday afternoon Franklin and I went out to Cypress to shoot his newly finished SR20 swapped Z32 build. Franky is a great guy and a good friend so it’s always fun spending time with him; especially when it has to do with cars (although it pretty much always has to do with cars). This Z, upon it’s completion, has caused quite a stir in the Z32 community. I think it’s a testament to how far off from a typical American Z32 build this is. Looking more like it belongs on the streets of Chiba, not many people are accustomed to a Z looking like this, and more often wonder why anyone would choose to build it in this fashion in the first place. Aesthetics will always be based on opinion, and it’s rare to find someone who goes against the norm. I’m sure you know by now that I happen to be a big believer in what Japan has to offer in terms of inspiration in automotive styling, and this car does not fall short. For that reason I have no trouble saying that this is the best Z32 in America; and I can guarantee you I’m not the only one who thinks that. Even if I was, I’d still stand by it, just like Franklin has in his build.
This shot was taken the night Franklin drove to the shop to show everyone the finished product – I might post some more from the photoshoot yesterday, but probably not for a little while. I’m sure you’ll be seeing more of this car anyway.
