Every once in awhile at these car shows, among the ocean of painted metal, you’ll see something that stands out above the rest. It could be bodywork, a certain set of wheels, or an engine build. In this case, it was the engine bay of Sheepy’s S2K that caught my eye. Ignoring, for a second, all the other meticulously crafted parts, the custom dual wastegate setup alone is hard to miss. Aside from the turbo setup, the corner mounted custom breather and catch can were really cool. Click here for a hi-res file of this shot.

The car sits on a set of matte black CCW’s. A choice that is becoming more and more common, but will always look good.

I would have liked to see this with the hood on. From the side, it looked as if the wastegate dumps would stick out a little bit. It would be cool if they were flush, and had some sort of protectant on the hood exits – similar to what you would see on a side exit exhaust.

A close up of the feature of the car. I heard a lot of people saying some incorrect stuff about this setup, it actually surprised me. Maybe because you don’t see dual wastegates on a single v-band that often, or maybe they’ve never seen an external wastegate; I overheard someone say that it was a twin scroll, and someone else said that it had 3 blow off valves…ha. Anyway, I talked to Mike G a little about it and he said that he is shooting for 700hp. I look forward to seeing more of this build.
