Event: Wekfest LA 2011 v.4

.
It’s been so long since this event I almost didn’t want to finish posting up the last of my shots. I didn’t want them to go to waste though so, while the epoxy dries on my carbon sunroof delete project, here are the last 40 or so shots of Wekfest in Long Beach. Think of it as a trip back in time; just not that far back in time.

.

.

Jared’s freshly tucked S2000

.

.

This bay was a work in progress, and Ryan from Rywire had just finished up the heavy stuff.  It’s so clean that it looks like there are parts missing from the engine; aside from the intake.  Can’t wait to see it painted.

.

.

Pretty clean S2000 on black Volks.  You don’t see those fenders too often.

.

.

The bay was clean too.

.

.

This red S2000’s grass cutting ride height is thanks to an air suspension setup.

.

.

This familiar NSX looks good on TE’s.

.

.

Joey’s Q45.

.

.

Another shot of the S2000 that started this post.  This is one of my all time favorite S2000’s.  I think the owners name is Angel, or something like that.

.

.

The interior is super clean too.

.

.

There really were a ton of S2000’s.

.

.

Kouki S14 on some Nismo LM’s with some booty in the background.

.

.

Trio of Rays

.

.

.

This STi was hard.  Love the TE37 SL’s.

.

.

I prefer Evo 8’s and 9’s over the new 10, but this one looked pretty cool on the florescent orange Volks.

.

.

Race ready Ferio.

.

.

Meister – the official wheel of 350Z’s

.

.

I took this at the first Wekfest LA in 1987.

.

.

Before I was getting ready to leave, I switched up lenses for yucks, and made my rounds one more time.

.

.

This R33 was pretty cool.  I’ve never been a fan of the 33 though.  It’s like the bastard child in the Skyline family.

.

.

Line up

.

.

A couple of models were wandering the grounds with photographers.

.

.

Big Mike intimidating the staff members into giving him first place.

.

.

And his new Almond milk tea flavored valve cover.  Looks good….mmmmmm

.

.

His Prelude was in the absolute worst parking spot for taking pictures.

.

.

The Mastermind Odyvia and the mastermind that built it giving it a scrub down.

.

.

.

The Tank and it’s bay.  Mike won 3rd place in the Civic class.  There were a lot of nice Civic’s, but I’d say that this was worth more than a 3rd place.

.

.

R35 rear.

.

.

So, I finally got around to posting a shot of this EK.  If you don’t remember, this is the one with the tagged bay.  You can see behind the Civic, I caught a candid, concupiscent Crooks & Castles camera collaboration.  This post is brought to you by the letter ‘C’.

.

.

I’m just gonna dive into a bunch of random shots now.  Hang on.

OK, sweet.  All done.  Hope you enjoyed the coverage.  Thanks again for visiting the site.
