Close-Up: J’s Racing CR-Z

.

As a follow up to the J’s Racing S2000 Type-GT we featured last week, I thought I’d share the other car on display at the J’s Racing Fair.  J’s Racing recognizes the growing trend of tuning hybrid cars, and when Honda introduced the CR-Z in 2010, they immediately started making parts for the new chassis.  This 2010 CR-Z serves as their test bed and show girl for all their CR-Z products.  J’s has a reputation for creating some pretty wild livery’s, and this car is no exception.  Check out more past the break.

The CR-Z utilizes Crux suspension with Swift (F13kg/R10kg) springs to set the stance at an appropriately aggressive height.

The Type-S aero-kit redefines the lines of the little hybrid and transforms it into something much more visually menacing.

Around back the Type-S rear diffuser helps round out the aggressive look from the back.  Also pictured is the J’s Racing tow hook and exhaust system.

Sitting atop the rear hatch is their Wet Carbon 3D GT Wing.  This wing has a really cool design and overall shape to it with some unique wing stands.

The good looks continue with the Type-S carbon bonnet.  Hot engine temps are given some breathing room with the utilization of the reverse hood scoop.

.

.

With the addition of a few minor modifications, the tiny LEA engine’s power is bumped up to around 145ps – not a bad number for a nimble hybrid.

The lucky driver will sit snugly in a Recaro RS-G and shift gears smoothly with the J’s Racing shift knob.

Despite the crazy graphics, you can see that the Type-S aero kit flows extremely well with the stock lines of the CR-Z.  Gently increasing the sportiness of the car, keeping in mind the intentions that Honda had when designing the CR-Z.

Yokohama Neova’s adorn the custom colored Volk RE-30’s and provide adequate gripping power for the track…or the grocery store.  Wherever you would drive this thing…

You can always count on J’s Racing to produce some of the most unique Honda builds and parts around, and the quality is unsurpassed.  Their CR-Z build is no exception.  I hope you enjoyed the J’s Racing Fair photos from JDM Clips.  Check back soon for continued coverage of Motor Sports Japan 2011.  Thanks for visiting.
