Close-Up: Rising Suns Motorsports NSX

.

So I first saw this car at the Canibeat meet in Fremont on Friday night, and although I tried to snap some shots of it, they came out not great because there was absolutely no lighting in the lot.  I wasn’t too concerned though because I had a good feeling it was going to be showing at Wekfest.  This NSX belongs to Rothsen of Rising Suns Motorsports – and although I didn’t get to meet him, I know this because I’m really good at using the internet (:|)  Rising Suns is a car club out of Salinas, CA and has a few nicely built cars.  Click past the break to check out more of this one.

My love for NSX’s is pretty hard to beat.  It is and always will be Honda’s flagship ‘super car’.  It’s sleek, scalpel like design will forever be engrained in my mind.  Rosthen does a good job of maintaining the stock look, while not overdoing it with a whole bunch of crazy aero.  I do, however, enjoy the massive Voltex wing that sits atop the rear.

The carbon wrapped roof is another nice touch; as it matches the theme of the car nicely.  Looks like a pair of Bride buckets keep the inhabitants nice and snug.

I’m going to be honest on this one – I’m not too sure what kind of wheels these are.  I have a pretty good idea, but I don’t want to assume anything.  Hopefully the owner can chime in.

Anyway, just thought I’d post up a couple extra shots of this because I really liked it – hopefully you all do too!  I just finished editing another 100+ photos from Wekfest SF 2012, and am realllllly sleepy!  I’d get another post up tonight, but I should really catch up on sleep.  I’ll do my best to get part 3 of the coverage up in the morning.  Until then, thanks for visiting.  Good night friends!
