This past Saturday, Joey from The Chronicles held his annual meet at the Eibach Facility in Corona, CA. 2015 marked the 7th year of the website, and hundreds of people came out to show their appreciation for Joey’s work. I was headed up North that weekend, but came to Corona a bit early to say hi to everyone before I left. A lot of friends from Japan attend as they are in town for SEMA which is going on this week. I was able to get some coverage before I left around 1.
One of the main reasons I went out of my way to get to Corona was to see the final product of the exterior of Yuta’s Civic. He’s been working really hard to get the car ready for Super Lap (unfortunately the engine won’t be ready in time), and the car has gone through quite the transformation (as you can see in the below pictures).
Aside from Yuta’s Civic, however, there was a wide array of great cars (as is the norm at Joey’s meet). This year was no exception.
David’s car on Wats looked amazing.
Ryan brought out his M3.
I think this might have been my favorite vehicle in the lot haha I’ve really been wanting a Tacoma recently to replace my tired BMW daily.
Z33 with Garage Mak aero.
For the majority of the morning I spent there, I was laying on the ground inside Eibach’s garage with Amir and Yuta. For the end of October, temps were still lingering around 90 degrees and that’s just not acceptable. Amir wanted me to get a shot of his Tom’s tan…
The awards that Joey had made were really cool.
Amir brought out his new daily; the DC5 that he built behind closed doors of social media. He surprised a lot of people – came out great.
Brendan was there with his NA Supra.
This EG was really well done. Amazingly well kept.
Tom’s S2000 was there, enroute to SEMA.
This was the first time getting to see his S2000 up close; very cool!
Another reason I wanted to come to the meet was to see Ryan’s GT3 Integra unveiling. I’m sure you’ve seen this all over the past week from SEMA coverage.
It truly is an amazing build that will make serious car builders change the way they look at customization.
Yasu was in attendance supporting Joey as well as promoting his new company, Exceed.
Kam stopped by as I was leaving – I literally shot this as I was walking to my car.
Congrats to another great year Joey!
