Super Taikyu – not the most popular of series, but exciting in it’s own atmosphere, and one I’ve grown quite fond of. It would be a stretch to say that many people know about this race series; let alone in America. Maybe I’m just on a high after just watching Super GT at Fuji, but series like these serve a great purpose in motor sports. Entry level events allow younger drivers to hone their skills and give them the knowledge to move up to greater series. Not only that, but eager driving is exciting! We get an opportunity, whether we realize it at the time or not, to witness what could be the next great driver in an advanced series – like Super GT. It’s this type of street inspired road racing that I enjoy most and I’m stoked that I got the opportunity to shoot it. I know it’s a long time coming, but stay tuned to NDF for some real Japanese motor sport coverage coming soon.
