For the past 15 years, I’ve documented Japan’s time attack scene independently. No paywalls, no sponsors, no website ads. Just my cameras, several flights across the Pacific, and a drive to keep the culture archived and alive.
Three years ago I quit my career in the airline industry to pursue Dogfight full time – probably not the smartest decision, but one I felt strongly about. But, as the cost of travel, gear, and time away from my family continues to grow, it’s getting harder to keep doing this at the level it deserves. So, for the past few weeks I’ve been exploring the option to expand the 130R Drivers Club into something bigger. A way to help support the work directly, and be part of the creative process; a way to make the journey more interactive. So, at the suggestion of many people, I explored Patreon and decided that it seemed like the best way to go about this, and I’m happy to introduce to you our new community: 130R Drivers Club
Although the membership cost will naturally 100% go towards continuing with new site articles, videos and galleries, this isn’t just about funding content. Members get access to unreleased content and merch, early site posts, travel notes, direct access to me as a resource for photography, travel, business, etc., behind-the-scenes updates during Attack season in Japan, and much more. More importantly, you’ll have a voice in what gets featured – whether that’s a specific driver, a local shop, or an under-the-radar build. Want me to revisit a certain shop? Feature a specific driver? Now you get a say in where I go and what get’s covered.
If you’ve ever found value in the stories, the photos, or the builds we’ve shared over the years, I’d love for you to be part of this next chapter.
The Patreon is now live at:

I will add that, the content you view on this website, our socials and YouTube will not change if you choose to not support in this way. The benefits of 130R are in addition to our regularly posted content and will not take away from the normal experience. I will continue to purse Japanese time attack in the form I have always done, but I am also looking forward to growing the community even further with everyone who becomes a member.
Thank you for the years of support, and hopefully for a few more to come.
