The diversity of Idlers events is comparable to few other races. Just one glance at the entry list reveals everything from old Citroen’s and Alfa’s to Honda’s, Toyota’s and of course plenty of Porsche’s. Each entrant is interesting to check out as they compete in all levels of tuning, but none stood out to me more than this Silvia from Garage Infinity.
An early morning walk through the garages of Motegi revealed the seedy looking Nissan sitting quietly under the lights. I had seen this car before once online, but never in person.
The owner, who resides in Gunma, has taken quite a unique approach to modifying the Silvia. While the exterior may not appeal to most, I absolutely loved it. The G-Corp front bumper is a perfect match to the rest of the car, which also houses an array of custom aero.
The diffuser ties together the cut rear bumper and GT wing.
Although the car is used for endurance races, the interior maintains a very street feel. I like the sparkle painted roll cage and floor.
ZG type flares are fitted on the corners to allow a more aggressive wheel fitment.
The car sports a naturally aspirated SR20 for reliability during the extended sprints on track. Just another aspect that adds more uniqueness to the car.
Look forward to seeing more of this build in the future.
