Back in November I had attended Super Lap Battle at Buttonwillow, not to cover the event, but more or less just to hang out with friends and chat about racing. It’s nice to reserve my local events for spectating and socializing rather than work, however there were a few cars in attendance I wanted to grab a couple photos of.
Quite some time before the event, I had been chatting with Yuta about photographing the HKS demo cars; namely the CTR. For whatever reason I never really got around to it schedule wise, but after learning that both the CTR and Supra would be at Buttonwillow, I figured I would do my best to take advantage of my time there. I spoke with Hannah, who at the time was handling the marketing for HKS and arranged an hour or so during the event where we could do a quick shoot. Nothing formal or anything, I just thought it would be cool to have a few photos for the site. The Supra they built was among the first to have a very original body kit available for it and to date is still one of the best looking kits available.
Long story short, I’ve been sitting on these photos for 4 months now – for whatever reason I just never got around to posting them. Some of these I spent a lot of time processing, some I just ran through Lightroom; I’m sure you’ll be able to tell. It seems a little dulled down now that we’ve been through Tokyo Auto Salon, but it’s worth nothing at the time it was really cool to see in person and get to photograph. I’ve put a tech sheet below for both cars. Enjoy, and I hope everyone is continuing to do there part to limit their public interaction during this time of uncertainty in the world.
For good measure, one of Chloe the goodest girl.

Looks like some of the Supra specs were added under the CTR section?
good eye – thank you
Cool! Thanks for the cool pix since track day plans are crushed UFN. I bet Chloe gets away with whatever she wants! Haven’t taken my retrievers to the track yet: they would storm all the pits saying “hi” to everybody. Chaos! Thanks, again!
Nothing goes together better than dogs and track days
Thanks for the pix! Looks like no track days UFN… at least in CA. Chloe looks like she gets away with whatever she wants!
