Well, it took me 7 months to finally get these photos processed, but as they say – ‘better late than never’. Last year’s Shiba Run event was held at Suzuka International Circuit on October 30th, 2025, and proved yet again why this is becoming one of my favorite events to attend during the Attack season.
Shiba Run is an annual event held at Suzuka Circuit, supported by Shiba Tire and facilitated with help from the Attack staff. While it is not an official Attack round, the event has become closely tied to the Attack community through shared drivers, structure, super lap sessions, and, rather obviously, Shiba’s title sponsor position for Attack Tsukuba.
Since they first held the event in 2024, I’ve been purposely scheduling a trip to Mie every year to attend. Many familiar Attack drivers continue to treat Shiba Run as an early season benchmark, and this year was no different. Drivers such as Seyama, Sugikou, and Sakurai were once again in attendance, running alongside a wide mix of cars that has become one of the defining characteristics of the event. The super lap sessions were managed with the same structure and attention seen at Attack events, giving drivers the opportunity to push without the pressure of a championship round.
For 2025, the addition of a S2000 one-make class added another layer to the day, highlighting just how broad the field has become. With over 200 cars passing through the paddock, Shiba Run continues to sit comfortably between competition and community. It is less about chasing records and more about providing a space where drivers, teams, and enthusiasts can share track time under familiar rules, with a familiar crowd, and have the opportunity to give feedback to the tire maker on a range of their own products.
The video that we posted last year takes a closer look at the cars and atmosphere that define Shiba Run today, capturing the rhythm of the day rather than documenting every result. It is worth noting entry lists and times aren’t typically published online for this event.
If you haven’t seen the video yet, give it a watch and let me know what you think. Below you’ll find a sizeable gallery that I think is representative of the greater attendance for the day. I’m sure you’ll notice some familiar builds, and also some that you haven’t seen before. Enjoy!
