Video: Attack Tsukuba 2024 Part 1 – Japan’s Largest Time Attack Event!

Better late than never, the first part of our Attack Tsukuba 2024 coverage is here! Held on February 17th 2024, this event was the largest ever in Attack’s 11 year history with over 200 drivers registering for the day.  It seems like each year gets more and more crazy, and this was by far the busiest I’ve seen Tsukuba.  With that being said, the crowd management was much better than last year, and the crew obviously did their due diligence in correcting the shortcomings from 2023.

The Attack Tsukuba Championship, hosted at the famous Tsukuba Circuit once a year, has come to draw increased international attention as drivers from other countries want to take a shot at the famous TC2000 circuit. Aoki and the Attack staff has done well to foster this attention and even goes as far as assisting foreign drivers coming from overseas.  As a results, the event has seen drivers from America, Australia, Korea, and Canada, with a list that continues to grow.  This year, most notably, was the participation of Feras Qartoumy and his 1,300 horsepower, record setting Corvette.  Feras, who was taken in by Under Suzuki after his WTAC debut, hit the ground running and had an impressive debut Attack season in Japan.

I do my best to attend as many events as possible throughout the season, so my coverage is more linear and doesn’t depend all on this one event; especially because Attack is so difficult to cover well being as busy as it is.  The sheer amount of cars, with the small amount of track time allowed, makes it next to impossible for one person to get comprehensive coverage.  I tried to take as much video as possible, however, and am splitting this into 2 separate, roughly 30 minute long, videos consisting of pit and paddock walks, on track action, and close ups of the build details.  These are the last two videos for the 23/24 season so I hope you enjoy!

As always, thanks for watching!

A few select photos from Attack – will eventually follow up with full galleries from events throughout the season.
