It’s no secret that, by the time we get to Attack Tsukuba’s main event, I’ve usually covered dozens of events leading up to the weekend. For that reason, I typically take the day ‘off’, so to speak, and do my best to enjoy the event as a true spectator. Well, as you can imagine, that means I don’t really get much coverage from the actual day. I justify it by our full season coverage each year – Attack Tsukuba has become my vacation so to speak.
This year’s Attack event was a step up in organization from prior years. Aoki really made it a point to ensure that the focus was put back on the drivers and teams that make the event what it is. The trade off was that spectator tickets were much more strict than previous years. In my opinion, this isn’t a bad thing, and makes sure that the event is as safe as possible. Tsukuba is a very small facility, and to try and fit over 100 drivers, teams, equipment, vendors, food trucks, and a whole lot more is quite a task.

I’d like to try and make it a point to get some galleries processed over the next couple months covering the 2024/2025 season. I have so many photos that are backlogged from simply not having enough time to get them sorted, curated, and processed.
